We All Squeak for Ice Cream

Here is a 2 page layout I made from the "We All Squeak for Ice Cream" collection from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The paper is from the Cherry-O Level 2 paper pack by Close to my Heart.

Close up of title.  I used the same title that is in her collection but I made my own because I had to make it fit where I was putting it.
Page 2
Close up of mouse with ice cream cone.  I used the sizzix texture plate "squares" to make this look like a waffle cone.

I hope you have enjoyed looking.  If you haven't visited KaDoodle Bug Designs yet, go checkout what she has to offer.  Her paper piecings are adorable.  Have a wonderful day!

You Light Up My Life

Well we got back from vacation.  We had so much fun.  We went on a horseback ride in the Smoky Mountains and this is what we ran into:
This is the only picture we were able to get.  It startled the horses (as well as us!) and we got out of there as quick as we could!
Here is a waterfall that was along the trail.  It was a very scenic horseback ride.  We really enjoyed it.

Well here is the layout I promised to post.  This was a fun layout to make.
The patterns for this is from the "You Light Up My Life" collection by KaDoodle Bug Designs.
Page 1

For the "bulb" bodies and stars I actually used copic markers to color them.  I used some of the plastic that my cricut cartridges come in for the jar.
Page 2
For their wings, I used a light blue vellum paper.  I added some stickles glittler glue and then used my embossing gun to dry them to keep them from curling up too much.  I really like using this technique for the wings.
If you haven't checked out KaDoodle Bug Designs yet you should go see the cute paper piecings she has to offer.  She also has some very cute digi stamps.  If you go now, she is having a Memorial Day Sale which is 65% off your purchase of $25.00 or more.  Now is a good time to stock up.  Make sure to take a peek at her freebie page:)
Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Sweet as Honey

Well I am here relaxing on vacation.  We had some storms roll in earlier but they moved through fairly quickly.  Since we are in for the evening, I thought I would take a few minutes and post a layout I did a couple weeks ago.  I had so much fun making this layout.

For this one I used the "UnBEElievable You" set from Treasure Box Designs.
I used liquid glass on the honey.
I used a gem flower on the back of the bee.
Close up of bear.
Close up of Honey Pot.
I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch for the tops of my title.  Then I added liquid glass.
Close up of title.
Close up of peeking bear.
Close up of hidden journaling or photo.
For all of their wings, I used blue vellum paper.  I added crystal stickles glitter.  The glitter glue makes the vellum curl up so I used my embossing gun to help speed up the drying process of the glitter glue.  I held the wings down with tweezers to help keep them from curling up too much.  This is the first time I have done this but I think they turned out pretty good.

I have a super cute layout to share with you when I get back using patterns from KaDoodle Bug Designs so come back on Sunday and I should have it posted!  Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!:)

Here is a quick project I wanted to share since graduations are coming up quickly.
For this I used the girl from The Graduation Collection over at KaDoodle Bug Designs.
Close up of the Graduate!   I cut a slit in the large scallop to pull the ribbon through so I could tie it and keep it closed.
The inside with a pocket to hold the money!

KaDoodle Bugs Designs will be giving away a freebie for a cut file similar to this money evenlope when she reaches 600 fans....so go like her now so you can get this in time for graduation!

Baby Layout-Boy

Well I don't know what the weather is wherever you're at, but it sure warmed up here!  It went from 70's to 90's!  I am so glad summer is here.  Along with summer comes all the summer activities that I love:  grilling, baseball games, and ICE CREAM!  Yummy!
Anyway, here is a layout I put together.  It is another baby boy layout.

The paper is from Baby Boy Stack by DCWV.  There are 2 different stacks for baby boy.  This one I found at Michael's. The patterns for babies, stork, etc., comes from the New Arrival set by Treasure Box Designs.

Close up of Photo Mat that opens.  You can find the svg cut file here.
For the baby faces, I used the Just Baby Faces Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps.  I stitched the photo mats using the Sew Easy tool.  It helps to make your stitch holes evenly spaced.
Close up of Photo mat that opens.

To keep this mat closed, you glue 1/4th of the circle to one flap.  Attach a small brad diagonal so that the circle slides under the brad.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!  If you feel compelled, leave me a comment.  I love to hear from you!  Have a good evening!

Elegant Layout

Here is another layout I did for a friend.   I got the idea and sketch from Nanne's Creations.  Mine can't even compare to hers but I am still happy with how it turned out.
The paper is from the Luxury stack by DCWV.    I cut the butterflies using the Home Accents cartridge using the shadow feature.  The roses I made using an svg file which I got from Susan Bluerobot.  She has an excellent tutorial on how to make them.  I made the rosette using the Martha Stewart Heart border punch.  I added liquid pearls throughout.  I used chocolate distressing ink on the edges.
The "Love" stamp is from the "Precious Love" set by Close to my Heart.
I used stickles on the roses and I also used it to outline the butterfly wings.  I don't remember where I got the ribbon but I believe it was hobby lobby.
The butterfly sentiment is from the "Butterfly Wings" stamp set by Close to my Heart.

Thanks for visiting me today!  If you get a chance, drop by and check out Nanne's Creations and Susan Bluerobot.  They both have a lot of wonderful projects on their blogs.  Have a super duper day!

Wedding Layout

I just thought I would share a wedding layout I did by request for a friend.  This one is not my usual style...I find it much easier to do cute than pretty but here it is:   I used a sketch from Jana Eubank's Sketches.

The paper is  from the "Just Married" stack by the Paper Studio.  The roses I made using an SVG file that I downloaded from Susan Bluerobot.  She has an awesome tutorial on how to make the roses.  I was really impressed with how they turned out.  I added some stickles to them for glitter.

The floral mat that everything is layered on is from the Martha Stewart Holiday Cakes Cartridge.  I used the hide contour feature so that it didn't cut out the center of the circle.  I added some pearls for the centers.

Thanks for looking!
