School Rules

Today I am sharing a layout I made for the Friday Design Team Challenge.  We were to make a school themed layout and use stamping somewhere in the project.
For this layout, I used the "Back to School Bears Collection" and the "Back 2 School Collection" both from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.   The paper is the Grade School stack from DCWV.

My Lil' Bookworm

With school starting right around the corner, I thought I would make a layout for school!

The patterns for this comes from the "Bookworm Collection" from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  The paper is from the Grade School Stack by DCWV.

There is even a hidden journaling spot!

10 Things I Love About You V.2

Today I want to share a layout I made for my design team project.  I really liked the idea of the 10 Things I Love About You layout that I made previously, but I wanted to make a more elegant layout you could say.:)
For this layout, I used the Fancy Flourish and the My Paper Garden Collections from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  The paper is from K & Company.
 Close up of pocket
Close up of flowers and flourishes

I actually cut the flowers on plain white cardstock and then colored them with my copic markers.  I then added stickles glitter to the centers.
Close up of flowers and butterfly.

Close up of definition of LOVE!  The stamp comes from the "State of Mind" set from Close to my Heart.

Thank you for taking a peek today.  I hope to have another project for you tomorrow!  Have a great evening.

10 Things I Love About You

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today, I want to share with you a project I made for my Design Team project over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.
I got the idea for this layout from the new Close to my Heart Idea book.  The book had a sample of a layout that had the pocket with "10 things I love about you".  I new I had to do one!:)  The layout is totally different from what is in their book, I just wanted to use the pocket with the "10 things".
For this layout, I used the "Wuff You", and the "Fancy Flourish" collections from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  The paper is the "Sweetheart Level 2" collection from Close to my Heart.
Page 1
I made a cut file for the pocket.  I cut strips of paper 1" wide by 5" long.  Cut some little decorative squares to add to the tops and added the numbers.  I tied some ribbon around a few of the strips.  I printed the "10 Things I Love About You" on cardstock and then centered it under my spellbinders die and cut it out.  I embossed the red paper with the heart blocks cuttlebug folder.  Then I added some dew drops and liquid pearls.
Here is a close up of one of the flourishes.  I added hearts to them.  I ran the hearts through my xyron and then sprinkled them with Martha Stewart glitter.  I added a few tags with sentiments and stitched the photo mats.
Close up of dog.  I embossed the word "Love" with clear embossing powder and added some stitching with my white gel pen.

Close up of sentiment.  Again, I embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project.  I would love to know what you think!  If you don't yet follow me on facebook you can find me under Precious Memories by Julie.  Also, if you're interested in buying this layout, you can find it on Ebay.  Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Bride and Groom

Here is a cute 1-page layout I made using the "Wedding Party" collection for Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

The paper is from the "Just Married" stack by the Paper Studio.  The stamped sentiment is from the "Love Always" set by Close to my Heart.
Close up of the Happy Couple!  I added liquid pearls to her hair and dress, and used some little roses for her bouquet.
Close up of title.  I used spellbinders nestabilities to cut out my title and liquid pearls to the sides.
Close up of photo mat.  Again, I used liquid pearls on the heart and just hand wrote the word "love".
Close up of all the flowers.  Some of them I used brads for the centers and some already had the little jewels in the center.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look!  Have a great day!

Daddy's Lil' Princess

I was going to post this sooner, but it has been so busy around here!  My son is having his birthday this week and last night he wanted to have 7.....YES....7 of his friends stay the night!  They were up until 4 a.m. and now I am totally exhausted!  Even my son said that would be the last time he had 7 friends stay the night at one time:)

Here is a layout I made using the "Dad is our Super Hero" set from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The paper is from the "Sophia level 2 paper pack" from Close to my Heart.  I added ribbon and flowers on the photo mats.  I stitched the borders and the photo mats.  I used Ranger liquid pearls along the scalloped border.  On the title, I added a couple of metallic dew drops.  The tag and word "Princess" is from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge.  I added ribbon to the little girl bear's head and around her dress.
Close up of title.
Close up of tag and flowers.

I thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and take a peek at my layout!  If you are interested in purchasing this layout, you can find it on E-bay until June 17th!

We All Squeak for Ice Cream

Here is a 2 page layout I made from the "We All Squeak for Ice Cream" collection from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The paper is from the Cherry-O Level 2 paper pack by Close to my Heart.
Page 1

Close up of title.  I used the same title that is in her collection but I made my own because I had to make it fit where I was putting it.
Page 2
Close up of mouse with ice cream cone.  I used the sizzix texture plate "squares" to make this look like a waffle cone.

I hope you have enjoyed looking.  If you haven't visited KaDoodle Bug Designs yet, go checkout what she has to offer.  Her paper piecings are adorable.  Have a wonderful day!
